I was raised by an anthropologist, who (when I was 4) taught me about 1. ‘human-variation’ (the term we mis-refer to as ‘race’), 2. how we are not different colors (humans are shades of the same one color, brown, especially my beach-tanned Ucla teammates of scandinavian ancestry), and 3. how the concept of ‘race’ is social-political (not biological)

I was also raised by a psychologist, so I’ve often wondered (when it comes to people who believe in ‘race’ being biological), what it would mean if we were not the same ‘race’ as the cultural super-hero, the cultural deity, the cultural gift-giver or the cultural money-face (let’s call them the ‘cultural fab-four’, which in america would most likely be superman, god, santa & benjamin franklin…or maybe washington, lincoln, depending on how you roll😉)

Just recently (as I was ’empathically’ exploring my FRUSTRATION with the media’s coverage of the ex-president, in relation to its coverage of an american woman of south-asian & jamaican ancestry), it dawned on me that there may be some wisdom from the movie ‘Robo-Cop’, that could really make it make sense for me (& maybe for you too)

So, are you ready team-humanity? Are you prepared for a paradigm lollapalooza? Are you sure? Alrighty then, let’s go:

When someone (in any society), embodies the cultural fab-four (super-hero, deity, gift-giver, money-face), and it’s combined with a certain power-score, it opens-up a very, very EXCLUSIVE door. To where, you ask? To DIRECTIVE #4 (where it’s almost impossible for a journalist to keep their feet on the floor…just check-out this clip of robo-cop, our journalistic metaphor)

Robo-Cop (representing objective journalism), had all the intention & good-faith in the world🌎But until later on in the story (when ‘directive four’ is recognized, acknowledged and then overridden), it was the most dominant force in robo-cop’s cultural universe (& robo-cop didn’t even know it…yet it was always there). It’s partly why robo-cop let members of omni-corp get away with using the noun ‘democrat’ as an adjective (which we all know is omni-corp code for F/U). Yet all robo-cop would’ve needed to say was, ‘nope…the adjective is ‘democratic’ (wait, maybe that’s from a different scary-movie)

With that in mind, I have a few questions for you. Are you ready to finally initiate an override? Are you ready to be free from this power-over BS, and GLIDE? Are you ready to see the wonder of empathic-force, widely APPLIED?💪🏾

And a non-partisan governmental expert, whose appearance, gender, ethnicity & sexuality are NOT culturally ‘preferred’, 20 points, yearly. With business-loans, housing, justice, empathy & dignity, costing at least 10 points apiece). But we can CHANGE all of that. We can see each other as fellow members of team-humanity.
