I just listened to you with AG. I have been married to a vet who has PTSD, and we have been struggling these last few years. I am in tears, listening to you. When you said we fight over strategy and we connect over needs…Wocka!!!! That hit home, Brother. I would like to hear more about empathic listening. -Andi
I do this thing where I wait till the end of the day to respond to my fave messages (the one’s that touch my heart💓). Reason being that I get to carry the energy with me throughout the day😉
…thank you for the beautiful response to a situation that is less than joyful for you (I’ve been holding empathic space for you & your partner all day).
You can email me (Tony@TheEmpathyGuy.com), or jump onto Facebook and come play with us at ‘Living With Compassion’. Either way I look forward to connecting (& empathically listening to you🙏🏾it that’s cool?)
Tony, today I made a mistake by writing in the chat, that ‘old money’ is a psychological synonym. I had forgotten that we were talking about minority and [marginalized] groups and discrimination. Thank you for calling it out and apologizing. That kept face for me and so I am less embarrassed. I was deeply touched by your transparency and vulnerability. Also, your individuality stood out and man, did I relate to it! You really have your own style, and have a unique way of presenting! What fun that was. Mixing learning with hilarity!
Actually, I learned more from you,… being that it kept me engaged. Didn’t look at my email once! Keep doin’ what you’re doin’!!! touching so many hearts – WOW.

🙏🏾…feeling such JOY that you dig what I call ‘rock n roll empathy’, Susan🙃
I actually really appreciated the nuanced look at terms I use, so thank you for the invitation (& this thoughtful explanation).
…loving ‘Street Angel’ (I recently went from ‘temporarily without a home’ to ‘unhoused’ to ‘un-sheltered’). How did it feel to have your two-words out in the world like that?🤗
